CHP Investigating Fatal Crash

Calaveras County, CA — The CHP is seeking information from the public about a fatal crash in Calaveras County.

A 2005 Subaru was located down a steep and rocky embankment along Highway 4 near Black Springs Drive on Saturday afternoon. The driver, a 51-year-old female, and her dog, were found dead inside. The CHP is not releasing the victim’s name at this time, as family members are still being notified. The vehicle had rolled over and hit a tree. The driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.  The CHP says the actual time and date of the crash is unknown.
