Pay, SWAT and Gazebo On Supervisors Agenda

Sonora, CA — Several items will face the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors tomorrow.

The Supervisors will vote whether to give 2% pay increases to many employees, including elected officials, and the board itself. The Supervisors will also vote whether to transfer $122,000 from asset forfeiture trust funds to allow the Sheriff’s Office to purchase a Lenco MedCat. The miltiary type vehicle would be utilized by the SWAT Team. The total cost is over $270,000, and the remaining money would come from the Sheriff’s Office budget, and a Homeland Security grant.

In addition, the Supervisors will convene at Jamestown’s Rocca Park for a noon rededication ceremony for the gazebo, and vote whether to award a contract for the Mother Lode Juvenile Detention facility.

Tuesday’s meeting starts at 9am in the board meeting room. You can watch live video in the multimedia section of myMotherLode.com.
