Traffic Remains Slow Near Jamestown

Jamestown, CA — The CHP reports it could be late this morning when traffic starts moving freely on Highway 108 near Rolling Hills Blvd.

It’s been stop and go traffic, as westbound vehicles are backed up near 5th Avenue, and eastbound traffic near Hurst Ranch. Around 200 wood 2 x 10’s  fell from a big rig truck when a strap broke during the eight o’clock hour this morning. No one was hurt in the incident, but several law enforcement officials are on scene this morning continuing to cleanup. Caltrans is also assisting. Expect activity up until close to noon.

Updated at 12:15pm: The highway is clear and traffic is moving freely.
