Structure Fire In Calaveras County

Copperopolis, CA — Firefighter are heading to a structure fire in Copperopolis.

Cal Fire says a neighbor reported smoke coming out of the roof of a home on the 1000 block of Iroquois Circle by Feather Drive off O’Byrnes Ferry Road.  There is no word on whether the fire has spread or if any other homes are threatened.  We will have more information as soon as it comes into the newsroom.

Update 12:20 P.m.: Cal fire says the fire was 25% involved in the roof when they arrived at the home, but the fire is almost “knocked down”.  No other structures or vegetation was threatened.  There is no word on what sparked the flames and investigators are on the scene trying to determine the cause.
