Supervisors To Discuss Courthouse Park And Planning Commission

Sonora, CA — Several issues will go before the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

The Board will vote on the $40,000 Courthouse Park Maintenance and Rehabilitation project. As a safety precaution, it calls from removing seven of the 18 trees in the park, and thinning of the remaining 10 trees. In addition, the lawn areas would be replanted, walkways repaired, and security cameras installed.

The Board will also formally accept the resignation of Jerry Morrow from the Tuolumne County Planning Commission, and potentially fill open TCPC seats in Supervisorial Districts One and Two.

The Supervisors will also talk about the Columbia Airport Capital Improvement Plan, and plans to widen areas of Phoenix Lake Road and Tuolumne Road. Tuesday’s meeting starts at 9am. You can watch live video in the multimedia section of myMotherLode.com.
