Angels Camp Burglary Bust

Angels Camp, CA — An Avery woman has been arrested for twice burglarizing a local lumberyard.

The Angels Camp Police Department says that Calaveras Lumber was burglarized on November 17 and November 27. The first time, a suspect cut a hole in a fence, entered, and stole some tools. It appears the suspect was interrupted in the act, because numerous other items had been stacked near the hole in the fence.

During the second incident, a reporting party could hear someone throwing items, and noticed the motion detector lights going on and off. When officers arrived, they spotted a vehicle in the parking lot, and contacted the female driver. She was identified as 53-year-old Terry Rogers. There were items inside the vehicle with Calaveras Lumber price tags. Rogers admitted to stealing items on both the 17th and 27th. The vehicle was registered to a family member of Rogers. When contacted by the PD, the family member said Rogers took the vehicle sometime during the night, without permission.

Rogers was booked into Calaveras County Jail on charges of grand theft, vehicle theft and possession of burglary tools.

Both burglaries occurred during the early morning hours, prior to the business opening.
