More Thanksgiving Travelers

With gas prices falling, AAA is predicting a 4.2% increase in the amount of travelers that will hit the road this Thanksgiving.

46.3 million Americans are expected to drive over 50 miles. It would be the highest number since 2007, which is just before the recession hit. It is noted that the nationwide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is around $2.85, which is the lowest in four years. AAA says the heaviest traffic period is expected to be Wednesday, from 3-5pm, as travelers head out of town.

There will also be an estimated 12.3 million travelers through the air, over the Thanksgiving holiday. That is up 1.5% from last year.
