Sonora High Candidates

Sonora, CA – Find out where the two candidates competing for the one Sonora High School Board of Trustees seat stand on the issues facing the school.

Three people are running for the seats. They are incumbent Kathy Ankrom, James”Rocky” Wolf, a local contractor and former Sonora High School teacher, and Jeff Norstrom, a local business owner and Sonora High parent. Incumbent Melvin Ginn who is not seeking re-election has vacated the other seat. The top two vote getters will in the November 4 election will win seat.

The Sonora High Federation of Teachers will bring the two candidates together for a “Candidates Forum”on Tuesday, October 7 at 5 p.m. in the Sonora High Library. One of the candidates will replace Melvin Ginn, who is not running for reelection in November.

And a programing reminder, tonight is the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce’s “Meet the Candidates” night. It will air live at 6PM on AM 1450 KVML.  Click here to read an earlier story previewing the event.
