Search Continues For Fiore

Sonora, CA — Kathy Njirich Fiore has been missing since Monday, when she left her sister’s home in the 22000 block of Sawmill Flat Road.

Several law enforcement agencies, led by the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, assisted with a search yesterday in a large area around the residence. It included help from a search helicopter and K9 unit. In addition, numerous volunteers have been combing the area.

Friends and family members report that Fiore grew up in Tuolumne County and attended Sonora High School. In the 1980’s, she sold her business, Kathy’s Country Store, and moved to Southern California to be closer to her daughter.

She is 5’3”, 147 lbs, and has short blond hair, and 63-years-old. She was walking with the help of a cane. She was last seen wearing a light colored t-shirt, khaki shorts, and a denim jacket wrapped around her waist. She may have been taking a walk towards the area of Columbia College. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office at 209-533-5815.
