Bringing Visitors To Tuolumne

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau attends and works with people at various international conventions through out the world. Bruce Tepper, Marketing Consultant at Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau, blogs about who they have met and what they have learned. Part of the focus of his blog is on what the TCVB learned about social media influencers and information gained from other marketing organizations.

Tepper reports one seminar in particular that stood out to the Bureau’s Director of Sales & Marketing Lisa Mayo, was “Global Marketing All-Stars.” The seminar focused on the art of storytelling and the presenter showed “Yosemite Moon Walk” a short video seen over a million times. It features thrill seeker, rock climber and base jumper, Dean Potter, slacklining at Cathedral Peak in Yosemite with a large full moon. The video was part of a National Geographic Channel Special about Potter’s stunts which gain viral attention and a large social media following.
