Groveland, CA — The CHP has identified the man that was killed over the weekend in a crash on Highway 120 near Ferretti Road.
He is 27-year-old John Stuart Beaton of San Jose. The CHP says Beaton allowed his 2013 Chevy to drift into the opposing traffic lane and hit an oncoming vehicle driven by 18-year-old Eli Richard Mower of Penryn, California. Mower, and a passenger, sustained minor injuries. Beaton was pronounced dead at the scene.
