San Jose Man Killed In Crash

Groveland, CA — The CHP reports an unidentified 27-year-old San Jose man was killed in the crash Saturday morning on Highway 120.

The two-vehicle accident occurred at around 10:50am, near the Groveland Forest Service station. The CHP reports that the San Jose man’s vehicle was traveling westbound, and it drifted into the eastbound lane, directly into the path of a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Eli Richard Mower of Penryn, California. The San Jose man was pronounced dead at the scene, and Mower was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center to treat minor injuries. A passenger in Mower’s vehicle, 18-year-old Jeffery Setterlund, was also taken to SRMC for minor injuries.

The CHP reports that drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
