Sonora’s Mayor Talks About City’s History

Sonora, CA — If you were in downtown Sonora in the 1960’s you’d see car dealerships, nine bars, grocery stores, and several clothing stores.

Ron Stearn was first elected to the Sonora City Council in 1964. Earlier this month he became Mayor for the fifth time.  Stearn will be the guest on Mother Lode Views this weekend. He’ll talk about what he’s witnessed over the past 50 years in Sonora, how the city has grown, and some of the big debates that have played out at City Hall.
