West Point, CA — There is a small fire burning in an isolated area of Calaveras County.
The Fire is along Skull Flat Road in the West Point area. It has burned approximately 1/2 acre and it has a slow rate of spread. There is no aircraft assigned to the incident, and no structures are threatened. Due to the remote location, firefighters have been hiking into the area. Crews will likely remain on scene for an extended period today.
