Standard Fire Contained

Sonora, CA — Cal Fire reports crews have contained the log fire at Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) Standard Mill property off Standard Road in Sonora. The flames broke out shortly after noon in 2 to 3 log decks sending plumes of smoke into the sky. Those logs were salvaged from the Rim Fire. Cal Fire says it firefighters have left the scene and SPI is now monitoring the scene for possible hotspots overnight.
