Murphys, CA — On Six Mile Road near Ironstone Vineyards Sunday evening there was a single vehicle accident.
According to the CHP report Lynnette Gomez, 50 of Fremont, was driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser, (SUV) at an unknown speed when the SUV left the roadway. The vehicle overturned and landed on its roof. Gomez and a passenger, Anthony Landers, 26 of Union City, remained in the upside-down vehicle until they were removed by emergency personnel. Landers was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
The CHP reports after Gomez was medically cleared, she was booked at Calaveras County Jail for driving while under the influence causing gross bodily injury.
