New Council Members Will Take Oath

Sonora, CA — There will be a changing of the guard at tonight’s Sonora City Council meeting.

Newly elected members George Segarini and Jim Garaventa will take the oath of office. The City will also recognize outgoing member Hank Russell for his 12 years of service and Matt Hawkins for his four years.

In addition, the Council will elect a new Mayor who will serve for the next two years. Immediately after, a Vice-Mayor will be appointed. Today’s meeting starts at 5pm at Sonora City Hall.
