Two Arrested In Campground

Tuolumne County, CA — A man and woman were arrested after an accident involving alcohol. The incident happened at the Fraser Flat Campground northeast of Mi-Wuk Village Thursday at 4:30 pm.

The CHP responded to a report of a hit and run with a woman being dragged by the car through the campground.  When officers arrived on the scene, they found a woman suffering from cuts and bruises. However, officers determined the woman, whose name was not available, had actually fallen while trying to get into the car due to her drunken condition.  The CHP says initial reports that she was dragged were false.  The woman was arrested for public intoxication.

The man, 44-year-old Ashley Sanderson of Woodacre, California was arrested for DUI without incident.
