Sonora, CA — The CHP reports that a one person was killed, and two others injured, in a crash on Mountain Ranch Road.
67-year-old Claudine Fowler of Mountain Ranch was driving a 2010 Dodge eastbound on Mountain Ranch Road, and for unknown reasons, her car drifted into the opposing traffic lane. She collided head-on with a 2013 Chrysler driven by Mark Castillo of South San Francisco. Castillo had one passenger in his car, 42-year-old Mireille Morris of Santa Ana.
All three people were flown to hospitals in Modesto. Fowler was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Memorial Medical Center. Castillo suffered major injuries, and is currently listed in good condition. Morris suffered major injuries and is currently listed in critical condition.
The crash happened shortly before 4pm on Monday.
