Update: Hetchy Incident/Car Crash

Tuolumne County, CA — Cal Fire reports the fire is now 80 % contained at 269 acres.

Ground crews are still battling the blaze that started just after 3 pm when a car went off the roadway, smashed into a boulder, flipped over and ignited a fire in grass on J-59  south of Old Don Pedro Road.  Cal Fire reports crews will remain on scene into the night and there is no estimated time of full containment.

There have been no structures threatened or any injuries. In addition, the Tuolumne County Fire Department is assisting.
