New Interim GM At CCWD

San Andreas, CA – The Calaveras County Water District has a new interim General Manager after ousting former boss Mitchell Dion.

On Tuesday, at a closed session meeting, the Calaveras County Water District Board of Directors appointed Larry Diamond as the district’s interim General Manager. The Board will finalize Diamond’s contract at its June 11 regular board meeting. CCWD Officials say Diamond will assist in the recruitment processes to find a permanent GM.  That process could be slowed, as there are four board seats up for re-election in November.  CCWD Officials say the Board may decide to wait until after that election to find a replacement.

As reported earlier, a closed session meeting last Wednesday to evaluate Mitchell Dion’s performance resulted in a 4-1 vote by the Board to terminate his contract, effective immediately.
