Mail Ballots Today

Sonora, CA — If you want your vote to count on election night, mail in your ballot today.  That is the recommendation of Tuolumne County Auditor-Controller Debi Bautista.  The June Primary election is Tuesday and all ballots must be in the election office by 8 pm.

As for voter turnout so far, Bautista says, “We certainly are lighter than we have been in the past.  At the beginning of this election period we were actually way ahead, so I don’t know if we are going to get a large rush of ballots in the last couple of days.”

Bautista says predictions for the state voter turnout are very low, but she says we usually do not follow that trend.  To make it easier for you to cast your ballot, the election office at 2 South Green Street in Sonora will be open tomorrow, Saturday from 9-1 pm. It can also be dropped off at a polling location on Tuesday.
