Focus On AB-109

Sonora, CA — This weekend’s Mother Lode Views will feature an update on the local implementation of the AB-109 prisoner realignment program.

The controversial state program was signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown three years ago, and it has resulted in several offenders being monitored by the county through various avenues, rather than going to state prison. Hear about what has been implemented locally, whether it is working, and new challenges AB-109 has created.

The panel of guests will include Tuolumne County Chief Probation Officer Adele Arnold, Tuolumne County District Attorney Michael Knowles, and Tuolumne County Sheriff Jim Mele.
