Tuolumne County, CA — A man was tragically killed in a logging accident while working in an area burned out by the Rim Fire.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports that 48-year-old Chris Tomasovich of Sonora was working for a private contractor near Cottonwood Road and Forest Road 1N84 when he was struck by a falling tree. The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office and CAL OSHA are both conducting investigations into the fatal accident.
It occurred at around 8am on Thursday.
