Lake Fire Burns 37 Acres

La Grange, CA — While much of the focus has been on the Hunters Fire in Mariposa County, there is also a notable fire in Stanislaus County near La Grange.

The Lake Fire started during the 11 o’clock hour yesterday morning and has burned 37 acres. It is located near the intersection of Highway 132 and Lake Road. CAL Fire remains on scene this morning. The forward spread of the fire has been stopped, and it is 60% contained. The cause of the fire is under investigation. There are no initial reports of homes or other structures being damaged.
