Memorial Day In The Mother Lode

Sonora, CA — There will be several ceremonies across the Mother Lode in honor of Memorial Day.

Twain Harte will host the 11th annual Memorial Day Parade at 11:30am. It will be followed by a hot dog lunch in the park.

There will be a 10:45am Memorial Day Salute at the Columbia Cemetery in Columbia State Historic Park.

In Calaveras County, there will be a 10am Memorial Day Celebration and dedication ceremony at the Veterans Creekside Memorial next to Murphys Park.

This coming Friday, May 30, the VFW Post 4748 will host a 10am ceremony at Carters Cemetery in Tuolumne.
