Writers Association Visits Sonora

Sonora, CA — Sonora hosted the Spring Conference for California’s Outdoor Writers Association for the second year. Bruce Tepper, Marketing Consultant for the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau, says they were here in 2008 and again this year.

In Tepper’s new blog, Travel Writers Group, he notes that the non-profit association explored our area including Railtown 1897 State Historic Park.  Tepper says hosting the Conference locally has a positive impact on tourism. He says “Through their writing, radio shows, television shows and photography… We’re already seeing the results in articles, interviews and expect a great residual effect for some time as a result of having the writers here.”
