A man was killed in a crash on Parrotts Ferry Road last night.
The CHP reports that 44-year-old Darryl Robert Loomis of Yorba Linda, California was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson and crashed at 6:10pm. The accident was just north of the Tuolumne County line. The motorcycle traveled off the road and down a steep embankment. Loomis was pronounced dead at the scene. The CHP reports that he was wearing a non-DOT approved helmet.
The crash is still under investigation. The CHP report reads, “alcohol is believed to have been a factor.” Anyone that witnessed the crash is encouraged to call the San Andreas CHP Office at 209-754-3541.
