Two Lakes Get Facelifts

Sonora, CA — Stanislaus National Forest officials invites you to see what is new and improved at Pinecrest and Beardsley Lakes.

This Saturday you can see all the changes that have been made at both recreational areas and a new campground. The grand opening is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with tours of the Pinecrest Lake Marina, amphitheater, and lake fishing pier.  There will also be a tour of the new Black Oak Flat Campground, the renovated Beardsley Lake Campground and Day Use Area where a new boat dock and interpretive trail to Beardsley Point have been completed.

Forest Officials say nearly 300,000 people visit Pinecrest Lake Basin each year, making it one of the more popular tourist destinations in the Central Sierra.  Click here for more information.
