2014 Roundup Parade Draws Thousands

Sonora, CA — Horses, bands, dancers, cars and rodeo queens hit the streets of downtown Sonora this morning with a huge crowd cheering them on.  Today was the 57th Mother Lode Round-up Parade with 160 entries rolling past parade goers.  The weather helped to bring several thousands of people out to the traditional homecoming in Tuolumne County.

Up next, you can see cowboys and girls showing their riding abilities in the rodeo, which starts as 2 p.m. and runs through Sunday.  For a rundown of the rest of the schedule of events for this weekend, you can click here.
