Sonora, CA — Today is the 63rd annual National Day of Prayer, and there will be a prayer service in Sonora in recognition.
The Christian Women’s Fellowship is hosting the event at 11am at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church at 13380 Joshua Way in Sonora. This year’s theme is “One Voice United In Prayer.”
The National Day of Prayer became a federal observance in 1952. The first proclamation was signed by President Harry Truman.
