A Lesson For School Boards

Tuolumne, CA — School board members from all over Tuolumne County are brushing up on their skills.

More than 30 board members will be attending the second annual countywide school board workshop hosted by the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools.  There will be a range of topics from the roles and responsibilities of effective governing to the rules regarding the Brown Act.

Superintendent Joe Silva says, “The school board sets the tone and policies for a district. When they work better together and they’re better informed, then they are going to do a better job for the kids and the districts in our county.”

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Black Oak Conference Center.
