Summerville Hires Engineers

Tuolumne, CA — Summerville High School’s Board of Trustees has employed three contractors to work on the design of the new concrete bleachers. Last month, the board decided to go with concrete bleachers, instead of aluminum citing savings of between $200-300K.

Today, the board held a special meeting and unanimously approved contracts with all three.  Superintendent Robert Griffith says, “Those consultants include a geological technician, a structural engineering company, and Verde Design which is in charge of the overall design of the stadium.”

The engineers have four weeks to work on the bleacher design. Then the plans will be submitted to the Division of the State Architect for approval. Funding for the project will come from the voter approved Measure H bond.
