Angels Camp, CA — The Angels Camp City Council has selected a replacement for Stuart Raggio.
59-year-old Scott Kelly was appointed at last night’s meeting. Raggio was forced to vacate the seat in February when he moved one mile outside the city limits. Kelly has lived in Calaveras County for 22 years, including 12 years in Angels Camp. He was the only person that applied for the position. Also of note, he is married to Angels Camp City Clerk and Treasurer Mary Kelly. The seat will be up for re-election later this year.
