A Third Year In A Row

Sonora, CA — Sonora Regional Medical Center (SRMC) has won an award for surpassing quality standards for wound care for three consecutive years. Their Center for Wound Care has been awarded the “Center of Distinction Award,” handed out by Diversified Clinical Services, Incorporated.

President and CEO of Sonora Regional Medical Center Andrew Jahn says, “We have seen an increasing demand for specialized wound care services in our community.”

The “Robert A Warriner III, M.D. Center of Excellence” award recognized the Center for Wound Care at SRMC for maintaining the center within the top 10 percent of its more than 500 centers nationwide.

SRMC Spokesperson Gail Witzlsteiner says,   “The recognition is for a healing rate of 92% within 30 days.  That is really excellent because a number of these people have had these wounds for years.”

In addition, the center received a patient satisfaction rating of 92%. It is the only wound-care center in Tuolumne, Calaveras and Stanislaus Counties to offer outpatient Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
