Bringing Tourists Back To Tuolumne County

The Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau will soon bring several travel writers to the area to showcase numerous local sights and activities.

Lisa Mayo, TCVB Director of Sales and Marketing, was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

The outdoor journalists and writers will be shown and introduced to several places ranging from some of the best known locations to some lesser known sights such as Rosemary’s Roses, a rose garden that features over 1400 types of roses.

The tours will be given towards the end of April.

It is hoped that the writers will be able to first see for themselves and then communicate that Tuolumne County has plenty of great vacation opportunities and activities ranging from horseback riding to camping and beyond.

This is despite last year’s tourism setbacks, blamed mostly on both the Rim Fire and the Federal Government shutdown of Yosemite National Park.

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard every weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:45, 7:45 and 8:45am.
