Vegetation/Structure Fire Under Control

Columbia, CA — Cal Fire reports crews have a good handle on the vegetation and structure fire in Tuolumne County. However, there is still no word on what type of structure was on fire.

The flames broke out around 3:20 p.m. on North Bald Mountain Road near Big Hill Road northeast of Columbia.

Cal Fire Spokesperson Lisa Williams says, “The forward progress has been stopped. The estimated acreage is 1 ½ acres. We still don’t know the type of structure that was burned.”

She adds crews will remain on scene for the next couple of hours doing mop up.
