Business Council Reflects on Lawsuits

Sonora, CA — Ron Kopf, the Executive Director of the Tuolumne County Business Council says ,”Lost tax revenue, jobs and housing: We all pay the cost of unwarranted litigation.”

Kopf goes on to detail the impact two groups have had on several projects in Tuolumne County in his new myMotherlode.com blog. He calls the Central Sierra Environmental Resource Center (CSERC) and Citizens for Responsible Growth (CFRG) “small obstructionist groups” whose “real objective is to stop any growth.”

Kopf’s blog details several lawsuits that have been threatened and filed in Tuolumne County. He says litigation frustrates, delays, and adds significant costs to housing, retail, and job-creation projects that are needed in our County.
