Vision Sonora On Council Agenda

Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council will decide whether to create a Vision Sonora Committee.

The group would be tasked with prioritizing aspects of the Vision Sonora Plan that was approved last year. “We’re taking the next steps now to move the plan forward,” says City of Sonora Community Development Director Rachelle Kellogg. “The Council will vote at their meeting on Tuesday whether to approve a seven member committee that will oversee the implementation of the plan.”

The members will include two City Council representatives, City Administrator, Community Development Director, member of Public Works Department, a member of the Board of Supervisors, and the Executive Director of the Tuolumne County Transportation Council.

In addition, Councilmember Connie Williams and Lindsay Mattos will give a presentation on the Integrated Regional Water Management Plan. Tuesday’s City Council meeting starts at 5pm at City Hall. City Council meetings are typically held on Monday, but it is postponed this week because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
