Sewer Repairs Slow Traffic

Sonora, CA — Motorists will face traffic delays in downtown Sonora for the morning and afternoon commutes.

Crews will be making sewer repairs at the intersection of Stewart and Linoberg Streets between Lyons and Theall Streets on Thursday and Friday. Those roadways will be down to one-way traffic control from 7:30 am to 4 pm each day. Click here for a map of the repair site.

TUD Spokesperson Lisa Westbrook says, “It has no impact on the water or water supply. It’s strictly a sewer pipe repair.”

A reminder, Shepherd Street remains closed due to crews installing a sewer pipe line. The street has been shut down between William and Lytton Streets since Monday. The work was supposed to continue through Friday evening, but Westbrook says crews will complete the second phase of the sewer project by noon tomorrow. Click here for a map of the repair site.

Motorists can expect five minute delays in both areas.
