Moffitt’s Future At Tenaya Cloudy

Groveland, CA — Questions remain about whether Susan Moffitt will remain the Principal of Tenaya Elementary School.

Moffitt was an administrator at an elementary school in Tracy from 2004-2012, during a period where one of the teachers, 59-year-old Darrell Golden, has been accused of molesting several students. A recent Grand Jury report out of San Joaquin County led to accusations that Moffitt, and others, turned a blind eye for several years regarding complaints made about Golden. He faces a total of 33 counts against him, including lewd acts with a child and child molestation.

Big Oak Flat Groveland Unified School District Superintendent Dave Urquhart confirms that Moffitt was put on administrative leave last week, with pay, until further notice. Urquhart said he could not elaborate much more at this time. He noted that Rob Egger is currently serving as interim Principal at Tenaya. The Big Oak Flat Unified School District Board of Trustees met last night, but no additional action was taken regarding the Principal position.
