Are You Prepared For The Deep Freeze?

Sonora, CA — There are recommended items to have on hand to make sure you are prepared for whatever Mother Nature dishes out this weekend.

You could also be left without power. Tuolumne County Assistant Fire Warden Roy Evans offers this list to help you make it through the deep freeze:

Potable water, batteries, a battery operated radio, foods that do not require cooking, medical supplies and prescriptions, warm clothes, blankets, firewood, generator fuel, and pet food
As for food, have at least three day’s supply of food and water for every person in your household.
If you don’t have one, purchase the type of phone that plugs directly into the wall (not a cordless).

Evans stresses, if you don’t absolutely have to be out on the roads, please stay home.”
