Winter Storm Warning Issued For Mother Lode, Sierra

The Winter Storm Warning issued for the Mother Lode and the Sierra Nevada remains in effect through 4 pm Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, three inches to a foot of snow accumulation is expected in the Mother Lode above 500 feet.

 

Five inches to two feet of snow is anticipated in the Sierra Nevada above 3000 feet.

 

Winds of fifteen to twenty-five mph will continue with gusts ranging from forty to fifty mph in the highest locations of the Sierra.

 

Overnight subfreezing temperatures are expected Saturday night into early next week.
