Christmas In Sonora

Sonora, CA — Over 60 entries took part in Friday night’s downtown Sonora Christmas Parade.

The event is put on by the City of Sonora, and Special Events Coordinator Sheila Wilkinson says 2013 marked the 30th anniversary of the event. All of the entries had to be lighted, and there was a mix of fire and law enforcement entries, non-profit groups, and local businesses.

Following the event, Santa Claus met with children near Courthouse Park.

Christmas activities will be taking place in Angels Camp today, with the parade set to start at 4pm. Click here for information about other upcoming events.
