Structure Fire in Calaveras County

Valley Springs, CA — Firefighters are responding to a structure fire in Calaveras County. Crews are headed to a home the 6600 block of Stabulis Road in Valley Springs. There are few details at this time. Motorists will want to use caution as there will be plenty of activity in the area.

Update 10:45 am: Firefighters are on the scene. There is no word on how the fire started or if anyone was at home at the time the flames broke out.  


Update 11am: Cal Fire says the flames are confined to the home and they have been able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby vegetation.


Update 11:40 am: Cal Fire says the home has extensive damage, but they were able to contain the flames to the house and keep the fire from spreading to nearby vegetation. There is no word on where the flames broke out in the home or what sparked the blaze.


Update 12 pm: Cal Fire says crews will remain on the scene for the rest of the day.
