Power Restored After Massive Outage

After several hours with no electricity, the lights are back on for many that were with out power in Tuolumne county.

As many as 2,800 had their power go out at approximately 1:30pm today. The outage included Twain Harte and areas West and South. There were reports from Soulsbyville and Crystal Falls that power was out there as well.

PG&E reports that at 3:25pm the power was restored to all but 1,043 centered around the Kewin Mill Road area.

It is not immediately known why the power went out, PG&E is investigating the cause. There were no vehicle accidents reported in the area.

The estimated time for complete restoration is 5:00pm today.
