Man Walks Away From Roll Over Crash

Columbia, CA — A man walked away without a scratch after a roll over crash near the Parrotts Ferry Bridge. The accident happened just before noon on the Tuolumne County side of Parrotts Ferry Road. The CHP reports a man was driving a pick-up truck southbound towards Columbia when he crashed.

Officer Nick Norton says, “For unknown reasons he drove off the roadway about 40 ft. down an embankment, rolling over once. The truck landed on its wheels. The driver was able to get out of the truck on his own and was not injured.”

One lane of the roadway was blocked for about 30 minutes as crews towed the truck from the embankment. Norton says drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
