Sonora, CA — Firefighters are headed to a vegetation fire in East Sonora. It is located on the 13000 block of Mono Way near Cordelia Avenue, south of Hess Avenue. There is no word on size, rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened at this time. We will bring you more information as soon as we have it. Motorists will want to use caution as there will be plenty of activity in the area.

Update 1:05 pm: Cal Fire reports the flames were put out before crews arrived and just a small area of vegetation was burned. No structures were threatened.
