Highway 108 Bypass Celebration

Sonora, CA — This afternoon is the big ribbon cutting for the extension of the Highway 108 bypass.


Scheduled speakers include District Four Tuolumne County Supervisor John Gray, Sonora Mayor Hank Russell, Councilmember Ron Stearn, and T.C. Transportation Council Executive Director Darin Gross.


The $54 million project was finished several months ahead of schedule and was nearly $2 million over budget. The 1pm ribbon cutting will be held at the eastern end of the new bypass on Highway 108. The new stretch will officially open shortly after the event.
