Number Of Firefighters Continues To Decline

Tuolumne County, CA — Fewer than 200 firefighters are on scene of the Rim Fire.


The incident command reports that 196 firefighters are assigned to the incident, and officials are still anticipating full containment by this coming Sunday. There is still some very slight smoldering in wilderness regions. Crews are continuing to patrol for hotspots.


The cost to battle the fire is up to $126.7 million.
